The Fairy Tale Fair recently held a 2 day Christmas fair at the Brighton Open Market. Filled with 50 stalls, Christmas choirs, Princess’ and even Olaf (I know right?!) it was definitely filled with everything you could want from a Christmas Market.
Even though I’m known for visiting every Christmas fair in the area, it was the first I had a stall at! I’m still in my first year of launching my shop at JustTheBeginning-x so it was a little scary! Any spare time running up to the fair was spent making the displays for my cards and calendars. With the last couple of days reserved for organising stock and squishing it into my suitcases.
When we arrived it took over an hour to set up. (Although trying to set it out on my living room floor definitely helped!) We were lucky enough to have a stall right near one of the entrances, so we used that end to display my tote bags.
The best part of the day was definitely watching people interact with my products, giggling and pointing at the puns on the cards. It’s something you don’t get to experience with an online shop, as it’s all in numbers and charts.
I still have two more Christmas Fairs this year that you should definitely visit if you’re in the area!
2nd December – So This Is Christmas – The Charmandean, Worthing.
8th December – Christmas Street Food & Makers Market – The Brighthelm Centre, Brighton.
and if you’re not around Brighton you can always find my greeting cards and gifts here. I ship worldwide and you still have plenty of time to get your orders in before Christmas!
