Biscuits for Santa & A few of my Favourite December Blogs
This is my first year doing Blogmas. This also means it’s my first year that I’ve had the pleasure of reading everyone else’s amazing blogmas posts! There are so many incredible posts that have had so much time and effort put into them. You can see all the posts that I’ve loved on Bloglovin but I’ve decided to pick out five that I really enjoyed this year.
Below is also a recipe for biscuits. They can either be for Santa or you whilst you’re reading everyone’s incredible posts I’ve featured!
This post was so lovely to read and definitely made me smile as well. It’s so important to reflect on the positives, especially around this time of year when you are often so busy and stressed. Also, Paige’s nails look gorgeous in this!
Don’t these cookies look amazing! Sophie’s created a healthy recipe that only takes 15 minutes! They’re definitely on my list to make when I run out of Christmas chocolate in January!
Suzie took her neice to ‘Candy Cane Lane’ and it just looks so magical. I love looking at people’s Decorated houses and we have a few here, but nothing like this!
I’m a bit of a nosey person, so I love reading ‘days in the life’ and especially this year ‘What is my Christmas like?’ In this post Soph, compares how Christmas was as a child to how it is now. She has some lovely traditions she keeps and it looks like she’s going to have a magical Christmas.
Bexa has some great ideas to keep you calm this Christmas. It’s always a stressful time and just recently I got that customer at work who screamed and shouted in my life so these tips have come in very handy! (Especially taking a few naps…)
Remember you can see all of the blog posts that I’ve loved over on Bloglovin – https://www.bloglovin.com/@justthebeginningx/loved and make sure to follow me over there too!
Now it’s time for the biscuits for Santa or you whilst you’re reading everyone’s incredible posts.
To make these Christmas biscuits you need:
200g Softened Butter
120g Caster Sugar
250g Plain Flour
1 Egg Yolk
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Icing or sweets to decorate!
- Preheat your oven to 170.
- Mix together your softened butter and caster sugar and mix.
- Add in the egg yolk and the 2 teaspoons of Vanilla Extract.
- Sift in the plain flour and mix until it creates a dough like consistency.
- Roll your biscuit dough out so you end up with a height of about 1cm and cut into shapes of your choice.
5. Pop into the oven for 15 minutes and watch your biscuit creations rise.
6. Leave to cool and then decorate your little biscuits!
7. Take a photo and tag me on Instagram!
I’m going to full admit these aren’t the best creations we’ve made. However my husband and I had a lot of fun making them and that’s all that matters isn’t it?
